The Military Chapel

The Church ”Saints Archangels Michael and Gabriel" was raised between 1939 and 1940, the founder have been Constanta Military Garrison. The building plans was mated by the Patriarchate chief-architect D. Ionescu Berechet, in the Byzantine Churches style, with national style adapting of the front-side, church porch with columns. Until September 1949, the church was used for soldiers religious assistance, then using as Episcopal Cathedral, under Episcope Chesarie Paunescu grazing. After 1951 and until today it use as parochial church. The painting in fresco was made between the years of 1951 and 1961, by the teacher painter Constantin Ioanid.
