PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Constanta has a relatively efficient public transport system, which operates from 05:00 AM to 11:30 PM. The main routes for buses, trolley buses and trams can be found on Constanta Public Transportation MAP. Tickets can be bought at RATC kiosks, which are located on the main thoroughfares in the city (in stations). The current fares are:

Tickets must be validated upon boarding the vehicle by stamping one end in the machines attached to the handrails. Transit authorities make random ticket checks, and passengers caught riding without validated tickets are fined 1,000,000 ROL ($33.1).
